The stock market returned to an upward trajectory in today’s session, after two days of corrective retreat, during which the main stock index recorded a 1.63% drop, amid an upward movement in European markets as well.

The General Price Index closed at 1,341.10 points, marking an increase of 0.73%.

Intra-session recorded a higher price at 1,344.02 units (+0.95%

The value of transactions amounted to 80.34 million euros, while 18,123,812 shares were traded.

The large-cap index rose 0.87%, while the mid-cap index gained 0.68%.

Of the high capitalization shares, the biggest increase was recorded by the shares of Piraeus (+3.79%), Jumbo (+2.55%), Viohalco (+1.81%), Ethniki (+1.64%) ) and Eurobank (+1.58%).

On the contrary, the largest decline was recorded by the shares of Lamda Development (-1.47%), EYDAP (-1.00%) and Terna Energy (-0.52%).

Alpha Bank and Piraeus presented the largest volume of transactions, trading 4,632,036 and 3,720,904 shares, respectively.

The highest value of transactions was recorded by Piraeus with 12.48 million euros and National with 8.94 million euros.

61 stocks moved up, 43 fell and 17 remained stable.

The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Q&R +17.69% and Klukinas-Lappas +7.32%.

The biggest drop was registered by the shares: Lanakam -4.85% and Vioter -4.72%.
