Synésio Batista, president of Abrinq, which brings together the manufacturers, says that the delay in customs clearance of imported chips for dolls has already compromised Brazilian production.
“They are not able to get the chips in Brazil. This affects cell phones and cars, but even us, who have a smaller scale, are now feeling it. The dolls will neither speak nor cry, due to the lack of electronic components. an electronic recording inside”, says Batista.
Abrinq says it is talking to the government to ask for the release to be facilitated, with electronic parts and components placed in the green channel regime.
