With a slight increase of 0.31%, closed the stock market tthe week ending, moving on an upward trajectory for the fourth consecutive week, during which the main index gains 4.87%, while since the beginning of 2024 it is up 8.68%.

In the focus of investment interest this week was the share of Coc Cola HBC, recording gains of 11.41%, in the wake of the particularly positive results announced by the company for the financial year 2024. Piraeus Bank also presented positive results with the purchase to wait for the disinvestment of the HFSF by the bank, which is placed at the beginning of March. The positive reports of foreign houses about the banks continue. “Bull” for Greek banks remains JP Morgan. The shares of the domestic banks will record an average margin of increase of 28% until June, the investment house estimates. Greek banks appear ~40% cheaper than their CEEMEA counterparts (Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa). The target prices are 2.40 euros for Alpha Bank, 2.40 euros for Eurobank, 8.30 euros for National Bank and 5 euros for Piraeus.

The General Price Index closed the week at 1,405.32 units, against 1,401.01 units the previous week, marking a weekly increase of 0.31%. Since the beginning of 2024, the main stock market index has recorded gains of 8.68%, while since the beginning of February it has strengthened to a percentage of 2.77%.

The FTSE/ASE 25 large-cap index ended the week up 0.20% and is up 9.35% since the start of 2024. The FTSE MID mid-cap index ended the week up 0.26%, and has gained 6.79% since the start of the year.

The banking index closed the week with a marginal increase of 0.08%, while since the beginning of 2024 it has recorded gains of 15.49%.

The total value of transactions in this week’s sessions was €552.773 million, while the average daily value of transactions was €110.555 million, up from €162.189 million last week.

The total market capitalization this week increased by 506 million euros and reached 97.189 billion euros, while since the beginning of the year it has increased by 9.301 billion euros.
