by

Automotive events are back. This Saturday (19), the first stage of the Rally Clássico São Paulo takes place, starting in front of the Municipal Theater, in Ramos de Azevedo square (Republic, central region). Vehicles depart early, at 8:30 am.

Despite the name, the competition accepts models manufactured from 1993 onwards. These are the Futuros Clássicos, which can be sports versions or special series of national models or imported cars with few units sold in Brazil.

The other categories are as follows:

Histories – Vehicles manufactured until 1969;

Super Collectibles – vehicles manufactured from 1970 to 1980;

classics – vehicles manufactured from 1981 to 1992.

It is a regularity rally, which is an automobile event in the Raid category (Absolute Regularity on Unknown Route). According to Motorfast and Dib Racing, companies that organize the event, the objective is to maintain pre-established hourly averages and follow the route of 250 kilometers to the destination, in the city of Taubaté (São Paulo countryside).

There is no direct dispute for positions between competitors, and the start takes place every 1 minute. Drivers need to maintain hourly averages and follow the path determined in spreadsheets distributed by the organization.

Teams must have a driver and a navigator. Registration is charged per car and costs R$ 390. There will be four other stages of the event, and more information about registration and dates can be obtained by sending a message to the number (11) 94242-2440.
