A new green sustainable smart city, friendly to humans, with large networks of bike lanes and promenades will be created in Elliniko.
With the urban regeneration of Elliniko residents will live and work making limited use of private transport. This will be achieved by introducing smart “green energy” infrastructure and high sustainability standards that will be milestones for Greece and Europe in the coming years.
With the project in Elliniko, Lamda Development expands the international presence of the Greek real estate development market as during its full operation Elliniko will attract investors and buyers of real estate from all over the world and will increase the foreign direct investment (FDI) in the Greek real estate market. . At the same time, it will encourage the development of similar projects by investors along the Athenian Riviera.
Furthermore, Lamda Development aspires to change the philosophy in urban development, aiming to transform the real estate market in the coming years.
As part of Elliniko’s project, Lamda, as it is pointed out on the occasion of the announcement of its cooperation with the internationally recognized Mace-Jacobs consortium with the duties of general project management, intends to develop collaborations with local universities and the Greek construction community, to ensure development of the skills of the employees during the development of the project, while it has already entered into large collaborations with the best in Greece and abroad.
It also aims to consolidate a stronger supply chain in the construction industry and to support the country’s goal of attracting workers and facilitating the transfer of knowledge. As mentioned, emphasis is also placed on the introduction of new technologies and techniques in the construction sector using digital supply chain management (digital supply chain management) to reduce supply chain uncertainties and ensure the timely delivery of projects to the market, as well as using Design Manufacture Assemble methods and standardizing production with “factory” methods, which help increase quality and productivity and reduce employee risks.
Lamda Development, through the redevelopment of Elliniko and the projects carried out, aspires to enrich the know-how of the country’s workforce, which has been affected in recent years due to expatriation, with knowledge transfer programs by international consultants. This will be done mainly through technical training programs in the field of work as well as in collaboration with Greek educational institutions. At the same time, the skills and quality characteristics of real estate development consultants and construction companies will be upgraded.
