At the same time, the mayor of Moscow, Sergei Sabianin, announced that two Ukrainian drones were destroyed near the Russian capital.
The Ukrainian military is multiplying drone attacks, often deep into Russian territory, more than two years after the Russian armed forces invaded Ukrainian territory in February 2022, most recently targeting refineries, or fuel storage facilities. Moscow accuses Kiev of “terrorist” actions, which it says are aimed, among other things, at preventing the smooth conduct of presidential elections in Russia, which continue today for the third and final day.
