Falling trends were registered by stock prices in today’s session of the Stock Exchange, with the market retreating towards the levels of 1,400 units. The market retreated after four bullish sessions during which the main stock index recorded a total gain of 2.21%.

The General Price Index closed at 1,403.47 points, registering a drop of 1.31%.

The value of the transactions amounted to 182.75 million euros, of which 36.888 million euros refer to the transfer of a package corresponding to 3.4% of the shares of Aegean Airlines, at a price of 12 euros per share.

The large-cap index fell 1.46%, while the mid-cap index fell 0.57%.

Of the large capitalization shares, the biggest increase was recorded by the shares of EYDAP (+1.67%), Ellactor (+1.21%), Ethniki (+1.11%) and Eurobank (+0.95 %).

On the contrary, the biggest fall was recorded by the shares of Piraeus (-3.66%), OPAP (3.57%), Jumbo (-3.37%), Mytileneos (-2.74%), Sarantis ( -2.68%) and Lamda Development (-2.68%).

Piraeus and Eurobank presented the largest volume of transactions, trading 12,565,669 and 6,437,586 shares, respectively.

The highest value was recorded by Piraeus with 48.10 million euros and Aegean Airlines with 38.97 million euros.

31 stocks moved up, 85 fell and 6 remained stable.

The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Leventeris(k) +7.47% and VIS +7.21%.

The biggest drop was registered by the shares: Frigoglass -9.71% and Evrofarma -5.21%
