A lipstick launched by Clinique in the 1970s hits a new sales peak half a century later. Called Black Honey, the product has regained popularity in countries like the US and Brazil after going viral on TikTok.
The wine-toned lipstick had already become a fever in 1989, when the brand changed the packaging to a stick format and gained traction in the grunge makeup wave.
Now, it has sold out with a hashtag that already has more than 33 million views since last year.
Clinique’s website features the product as their “#1 lip phenomenon”. On order, it costs US$ 20 (about R$ 103) and there is no discount.
In Brazil, it can cost up to R$400 on beauty sites.
