Inflation was 3.2% in the month of March, from 2.9% formed in February, marking an increase according to ELSTAT.

The increase in the General CPI came mainly from changes in the following groups of goods and services:
Specifically:
– at 5.3% the inflation in the group food and non-alcoholic beverages
– at 5.8% the inflation was formed in clothing and footwear industry
– to 6.4% in the sector hotels, cafes, restaurants
– to 3.5% in its sector Education
– to 4.4% in its sector Health
– to 2% in the sector of Transportation
– to 1.8% in the sector of alcoholic beverages and tobacco
– at 0.6% in its sector Housing
Compared to February, there are decreases from 1.4 to 6% in pork, cheese, fresh hands and fruit and vegetables and bakery products but also new increases of 0.8% in bread ,1.5% in fresh fruits 1.3% in alcoholic beverage while prices increased by 14.6% in hotels and restaurants.
At the same time, inflation in the eurozone it stood at 2.4% in March from 2.6% in February, moving in the opposite direction to the Greek rate.
