The INSS (Instituto Nacional do Seguro Social) will start paying the February benefit to the insured as of this Monday (21). The release of amounts is made according to the final benefit number, without the verification digit.

This month, the INSS payment schedule is interrupted during Carnival, on dates when there will be no banking hours. In all, 36 million will receive pensions, pensions and assistance ranging from a minimum wage, in the amount of R$ 1,212 this year, to the INSS ceiling, of R$ 7,087.22 in 2022.

In February, deposits start on February 21st and continue until the 25th, but are only released again on March 3rd, Thursday. Payments are also interrupted on weekends. The deadline for withdrawing benefits with a card is until the end of the following month.

Febraban (Brazilian Federation of Banks) informs, in a note, that there will be no banking hours on Monday (February 28) and on Carnival Tuesday. On the 2nd, Ash Wednesday, the branches will open from noon.

In places where agencies close before 3 pm, the start of service to the public will be anticipated to guarantee at least three hours of operation. Febraban advises customers to use banking websites and applications during this period, as well as ATMs, so that they do not delay paying bills.

The payment of INSS benefits begins to be made, in general, at the end of the month in which the payment is made. They receive first part of the insured who earn a minimum wage. Then, the values ​​are released to those who have greater benefit.

How to know the payment date and amount

The consultation to know the exact date of the deposit and the value of the benefit is made on the My INSS app or website. For this, the insured must have a password registered in the gov.br system. When entering Meu INSS, it will be necessary to inform the CPF and the password created.
