by

The stories on the Instagram account of businessman Aldo Leone Filho, owner of Agaxtur, appeared on Friday (18) selling an iPhone 13 Pro Max. He asked for R$ 7,000. It also offered an Apple Watch Series 7 for R$2,800.

The businessman, who uses his profile on the social network to promote business and travel, was quick to warn his contacts that he had been hacked and that he was not trying to sell anything.

The fraud that the owner of Agaxtur was a victim of on Instagram is a problem that has been affecting other users of the social network since last year. Sought by the SA Panel, Instagram does not answer how many people have had their accounts breached. It just says that it has no information about hacking cases to share.

“Instagram is working on the implementation of resources capable of preventing hackers from accessing third-party accounts, on educational campaigns to identify and prevent this type of attack, as well as on tools and processes for recovering accounts on the platform. continuous improvement work”, he says, in a note.

The vulnerability of Instagram is a concern, especially in an election year, because the accounts of personalities with high exposure on the social network can be used by hackers to transmit fake news.
