In GREECE the annual inflation it is estimated that fell to 3.2% in April, from 3.4% in March, according to Eurostat’s first estimate, published today.

At the same time, Mr annual inflation of the euro zone is expected to remain stable at 2.4% in April 2024compared to March.

In April, the highest level of inflation in the eurozone was recorded in Belgium (4.9%), Croatia (4.7%) and Spain and Austria (both 3.4%).

The lowest inflation levels in the eurozone are recorded by Lithuania (0.4%), Finland (0.6%) and Italy (1%).

In Germany inflation rose slightly to 2.4% in April from 2.3% in March and in France inflation was flat at 2.4% compared to March.

Looking at the main components of inflation in the euro area, services are expected to have the highest annual rate in April (3.7%, compared to 4% in March). This is followed by food, alcohol and tobacco (2.8%, compared to 2.6% in March), non-energy industrial goods (0.9%, compared to 1.1% in March) and energy (-0, 6%, against -1.8% in March).
