Mild downward trends prevailed in today’s session of the Stock Exchange, as investors proceeded with mild liquidations to record short-term profits. The main stock market index closed April with a gain of 1.84%.

The General Price Index closed today at 1,448.48 points, down 0.48%.

Intra-sessionally it recorded a higher price at 1,459.25 points (+0.26%) and a lower price at 1,448.09 points (-0.51%).

The value of transactions amounted to 198.33 million euros, while 43,491,705 shares were traded.

The 32.8 million euros relate to packages in AustriaCard and concern 15% of its share capital which was allocated to Greek and foreign institutional investors.

The large-cap index fell 0.61%, while the mid-cap index fell 0.11%.

Of the high capitalization shares, the biggest increase was recorded by the shares of ELPE (+2.37%), Aegean (+1.94%), Ellactor (+1.35%) and Coca Cola HBC (+0 .93%).

On the contrary, the biggest fall was recorded by the shares of Piraeus (-3.30%), Quest (-2.19%), Alpha Bank (-1.70%), OPAP (-1.51%) and National (-1.43%).

The largest volume of transactions was presented by Eurobank and Piraeus, trading 13,416,559 and 6,834,567 shares, respectively.

The highest transaction value was recorded by AustriaCard with 33.17 million euros and National Bank with 29.57 million euros.

51 stocks moved up, 57 fell and 19 remained stable.

The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Revoil +5.59% and CPI +4.46%.

The biggest drop was recorded by the shares: Doppler -8.96% and Q&R -6.81%.
