Extension of the deadlines for fulfilling all tax declaration obligations, withholding taxes, capital taxes, VAT, fees and other indirect taxes and payment of confirmed debts
The following announcement was issued by the Press Offices of the Ministry of National Economy and Finance and the AADE:
Due to extraordinary work on the infrastructures of the Ministry of Digital Governance’s GISPSD, the deadlines for fulfilling all declared tax obligations, withholding taxes, capital taxes, VAT, fees and other indirect taxes are extended by decisions of the Deputy Minister of National Economy & Finance and the Governor of AADE. the payment deadlines for confirmed debts, until May 2, 2024.
Particularly,
A. By decision of the Deputy Minister of National Economy & Finance, the payment deadlines for the certified debts, whose deadlines expire on 04/30/2024, are extended until 2/5/2024. Until the same date, the deadlines for the payment of installments of arrangements/facilities for partial payment of confirmed debts are also extended.
B. By decision of the Governor of AADE:
– are extended until 2/5/2024:
• the deadlines for the fulfillment of all tax reporting obligations with a final submission date of 30.4.2024, such as VAT returns (FORM Φ2), withholding taxes, real estate lease information statements, fees and other indirect taxes, etc.,
• the deadlines for submitting capital tax returns (inheritance taxes, donations, parental benefits, gambling winnings, real estate transfers and E9 property data), with submission deadlines of 30/4/2024 and 1/5/2024.
– For submissions of VAT returns made after the technical problem was fixed (3:30 p.m.), the deadline for paying the tax is extended until 5/31/2024.
The same date (31/5/2024) is final for both installments in the case of choosing to pay the amount due in installments.
The purpose of the extension is to make it easier for taxpayers to be consistent in their obligations, while at the same time ensuring the smooth completion of the process of submitting declarations and paying taxes.
