The president of PASOK launched a fierce attack on the government and Kyriakos Mitsotakis from the floor of the Parliament
He responded to sharp criticism Nikos Androulakis to the Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, when he took the floor in the Parliament. “Let Mr. Mitsotakis not give us lessons on Europeanism. He showed arrogance and intemperance. We put the country in the Eurozone and you went to take it out in 2009. Doesn’t the Prime Minister remember what he voted for in 2010? If then PASOK’s K.O did not take the right decision and follow the Prime Minister’s stance, the country would be out of the Eurozone”, asserted the president of PASOK-Movement for Change.
For the decision in the trial for the EyeNikos Androulakis, emphasized that it is disproportionate to the magnitude of the tragedy and how the judges are judged.
Mr. Androulakis stated that he cannot trust the reform in Justice to the government, when it undermines the rule of law with its continuous violations, when Grigoris Dimitriadis has not yet been summoned for the wiretapping.
He added that the bill is characterized by sloppiness and the absence of a coherent plan for reforming the Judiciary. He argued that “the change you are bringing, hastily and tentatively, is to avoid losing the money of the Recovery Fund, it does not solve the problem that exists and will create new bigger ones”.
The president of PASOK-KINAL explained that he does not vote for the bill for the new judicial map because “it seems to be done without clear and uniform criteria emerging, but based on your own client criteria as evidenced by the absence of the required zoning preparation. The building infrastructures that exist are inadequate to say the least, creating substantial problems. As for the judicial officers, which according to its conclusion World Bank which you asked for assistance, “play an important role in the administration of justice”, the measures of the judicial map and the related redistribution of resources cannot address” the staff shortages that exist. It is essentially a recycling of the existing insufficient staff”.
The sharp attack of Nikos Androulakis extended to all the issues that concern the country, accuracy, the downgrading of the NHS, the economic policy which, as he said, “besides being unfair, it is also ineffective”, while he directly called on the government to answer if it is “alleged” burglary at the Ministry of the Interior.
“In the European elections, no matter how much you try to blackmail the Greek people, the stability of your government is not judged. But it is being judged who will take over the leadership of the European institutions” underlined Mr. Androulakis, accusing the Prime Minister and the government of opening a front with the extreme right in Greece but tolerating the current president of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, for what she said in yesterday’s telephone battle of the candidates for the European Commission that it is open to cooperation with the extreme right and with parties such as VOX in Spain, Ms. Meloni in Italy, PiS in Poland who was accused of violating the rule of law, and Mr. Velopoulos from Greece .
“Do you agree with this position of your candidate? Do you think that a cooperation with these powers will be good for Europe and for the interests of our country? How can you on the one hand denounce the Far Right and on the other be ready to ally with it at the European level? In the end, which of the two is true? Is this your vision for Europe? Cooperation with the extreme right? Why don’t you tell the Greek people so they know what they are voting for in the European elections!”, stressed the president of PASOK-KINAL. “And I challenge you again: let’s all the political leaders have a debate.
It had been accepted by Konstantinos Karamanlis and in 2004 and 2009. Why are you denying it now? What are you afraid of; “, he emphasized.
“Stability is not at stake in the European elections. It is at stake if there will be a mound in your arrogance. If there will be an opposition that proposes another path for the country,” said Mr. Androulakis and underlined: “On June 9, the exit door of the ND opens. And all of you are subordinate and subservient to the authority of Mr. Mitsotakis. You deserve a message of disapproval.”
