Revenue limits access to income tax declaration data

The Federal Revenue will limit taxpayers’ access to the virtual services of the e-CAC (Virtual Service Center) for those who do not have a silver or gold level on the gov.br portal. As of Friday (25), bronze level account holders will no longer be able to consult data from the income tax declaration and fine mesh.

Silver or gold registrations are also required by the Central Bank for the citizen to request the transfer of money forgotten in the Values ​​Receivable System as of March 7th.

According to the Revenue, the change is part of a process to improve access to the agency’s digital services. The tax authorities inform that the change will allow other services, currently only accessed by those who have a digital certificate, to be available to more taxpayers.

The e-CAC is a digital platform where the taxpayer has access to the data of his income tax return. There, it is possible to know if there are errors with the IR, if it fell into the fine mesh, schedule appointments, send documents and recover the tax from previous years.

The gov.br account, which gives access to e-CAC and other services, has three levels of security. Bronze is used for channels like Meu INSS. The silver level gives access to a greater total of services and the gold level allows you to perform any service that is available online.

The IRS informs that the accounts registered exclusively with CPF or INSS information are considered bronze level. The registration made in person at the Social Security agencies or at Denatran (National Traffic Department) also has this level.

Accounts that are validated by facial biometrics from the CNH (National Driver’s License), bank details, through the internet bank or registration in the public servants system have a silver security level. To be gold, it is necessary to have the account validated by the facial biometrics of the Electoral Justice or by a digital certificate compatible with ICP-Brasil (Brazilian Public Key Infrastructure).

To be able to raise the security level of your gov.br account, the taxpayer has two ways: through the computer, on the portal website, or through the mobile application. To have a gold account, the change can also be made on the website or application, but the path is easier using the cell phone application, since the smartphone camera can perform facial recognition quickly, according to a test carried out by the report of sheet.

• Click on “Sign in with gov.br”
• Enter the CPF and click on “Continue”
• Then enter the password and click “Login”

In the first batch of the System of Values ​​Receivable, from the Central Bank, R$ 4 billion will be released to 28 million CPFs and CNPJs. The amounts returned are from current or savings accounts that were closed with the balance still available; unduly charged fees and installments whose return was already provided for in a term of commitment signed with the BC; quotas and surpluses of those who participated in credit unions and money from closed consortia.

The second phase of releasing the values ​​will have money forgotten for other reasons, according to the Central Bank. Among them are fees, installments or obligations in credit operations whose return was not provided for in a term signed with the BC and prepaid or postpaid payment accounts closed with available balance.
