The violation concerns cleaning products (detergents and others) for widespread consumption
By decision of the Minister of Development, Kostas Skrekas, an administrative fine height 395,125 euros to the multinational company “HENKEL HELLAS S.A.V.E».
After checks carried out by the Interagency Market Control Unit (DIMEA) it was established that there was a violation of article 54 of Law 5045/29-07-2023 regarding the reduction of phenomena unfair profiteering. The violation concerns cleaning products (detergents and others) for widespread consumption.
As it emerged from the carrying out of inspections, the company’s gross profit margin was greater than what is stipulated by the relevant legislation. The total avail which the company would earn amounts to 197,561.54 euros. Therefore the fine is set at twice the expected benefit for all the products for which an infringement was found in accordance with the law.
The Minister of Development, Kostas Skrekas, said in this regard: “The battle with precision continues with unceasing intensity and determination. Anyone who violates the law on unfair profiteering is identified and punished with heavy fines. The fines are imposed, publicized and collected without any exception no matter how big companies and even multinationals. We will not stop efforts to tackle inflation and support households in the face of precision.”
