The North Suburban team edged Aris Betsson 108-103 at St. Thomas indoor after two overtimes and nearly three hours of play, took its first pink leaf in this year’s Stoiximan GBL (1-2 record) and left without victory the Thessalonikis after three league games!
The Maroussi dominated the floor for three quarters and led by as much as +16 (65-49). Nevertheless, with his three-point heroics Bryce Jones and a buzzer beater of his Arnoldas Culbocathe “Emperor” reached the tie (83-83), sending the game to overtime.

The two teams matched the score from the start of the game, with the home team going on a 9-0 run midway through the second period and running away with +12 with Perantes to make it 34-22. With 2.5” left in the final, Jones won the foul, but was 0/2 shooting with Harrell unable to score after a foul and the game going into 2nd overtime.
There, the two teams continued to be tied (101-101 at 48′), with King to give Maroussi a 104-103 lead with a foul goal a minute before the end. After consecutive missed shots by both teams, o Macon he went to the shots at 11.8” and with 2/2 he made it 106-103. At 9.3” the guests made a mistake, while at 6” again Macon with 2/2 made it 108-103.
