The event was opened by the managing director of Astir Palace, Penny Zaglaridouwhile the mayor of Vouliagmeni was present, Grigoris Constantellos and Abu-Suud Walidco-CEO of AGC Equity Partners, which invested in Asteras Vouliagmenis and Astir Marina.

“Vouliagmenis Marina sends the right message, that of quality tourism. The investment, which exceeds 53 million euros, is another step in Greece’s path forward. The project contributes to dealing with disorderly docking in the bay of Vouliagmeni and strengthens the local economy. It has 60 berths and is probably the most modern and the most functional and best equipped marina in the whole of Greece. Also, the cooperation with internationally recognized entities such as the main manager of the ports of the principality of Monaco, Ports de Monaco, ensure the provision of top services. The cooperation with international giants of fashion, from what I have been told, as well as with internationally recognized restaurants, can make the Athenian Riviera a point of reference on the world tourist map”, said Mr. Hatzidakis.

Aiming to create an integrated and modern port infrastructure, but also a luxury destination for the ships that dock, the management of Asteras Vouliagmenis has signed agreements with well-known global brands, such as the group Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy with the brands Louis Vuitton, Loro Piana and Dior and the group Kering which markets the brands Gucci, Bottega Veneta and Yves Saint Laurent.

These global conglomerates are planning to set up commercial outlets in the Marina facilities.

These include Zegna and Rolex, Dolce & Gabbana Casa with home decor products as well as fashion houses Off-White, Orlebar Brown, Zeus + Dione, Polo Ralph Lauren, Golden Goose and the soon-to-open Karkalis jewelry store . A store of the household appliance company, dyson, as well as the TAAT art gallery was also created in the space.

Greek businesses

In addition to the international houses, Greek companies also develop activity in Astir Marina, such as the delicatessen products company of Vari, “Ipirotissa”, which undertakes the catering of the boats docked in the Vouliagmeni Marina.

The new Marina of Vouliagmeni has a total of 59 boat berths, shops of famous houses, as well as a coastal promenade with additional green spaces.
