Russia’s attack on Ukraine on Thursday (24) boosted research on the subject on the internet.
In the last 24 hours, queries about NATO (Western military alliance) jumped 570% compared to the same period before, according to Google.
Interest in the organization hit a record this month in Brazil. Some of the main questions were: “what is NATO?”, “why is Brazil not part of NATO?”, “which countries are part of NATO?” and “why does Ukraine want to join NATO?”.
The terms Ukraine and Russia are also among the top searches on the platform in the country.
On YouTube, the subject also moved searches for videos. Searches for the names of the two countries, in addition to “war” and “Putin” reached the value 100 this morning, which represents the peak of popularity, according to measurements from Google Trends.
