Stock prices registered upward trends, with the market returning above the levels of 1,450 units.

Banking shares were at the center of investment interest, after the approval received by the ECB for Greek banks to distribute dividends after 16 years.

The General Price Index closed at 1,452.85 points, marking an increase of 0.63%.

Intra-sessionally it recorded a higher price at 1,463.47 points (+1.37%).

The value of the transactions amounted to 127.99 million euros, while 32,487,772 shares were traded.

The large-cap index rose 0.80%, while the mid-cap index fell marginally at 0.02%.

Of the high capitalization shares, the biggest increase was recorded by the shares of Motor Oil (+2.46%), Eurobank (+2.26%), ELPE (+2.09%), Terna Energy (+1 .78%), Piraeus (+1.64%) and Ethniki (+1.47%).

On the contrary, the largest decline was recorded by the shares of Autohellas (-1.72%), Lamda Development (-1.62%), EYDAP (-1.34%) and Quest Participations (-1.12%).

The largest volume of transactions was presented by Alpha Bank and Piraeus with 6,042,942 and 5,029,853 shares, respectively.

The highest value of transactions was recorded by Piraeus with 19.07 million euros and National with 10.23 million euros.

47 stocks moved up, 57 down and 17 remained stable.

The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Trastor +8.11% and Kecrops +6.43%.

The biggest drop was registered by the shares: Leventeris (p) -6.29% and Chaidemenos -5.38%.
