For the convenience of citizens who have completed the their 65th year of age, i.e. born up to 31/12/1958, and citizens with a disability of 67% or more, the Independent Public Revenue Authority proceeds to submit their declaration.
Specifically, as of today 11/6/2024, citizens who belong to the above categories are not required to disclose an IVAN account before submitting their income tax return for the tax year 2023, unless their return shows a credit balance or an outstanding amount for them tax to be refunded.
It should be noted that the IVAN can be declared:
• On the myAADE digital portal (myaade.gov.gr) by following the path Register & Contact > IBAN Account Statement
• In the myAADEapp mobile application by selecting Contact Information > IBAN.
It is noted that until today:
• As of 4/25/2024, the start date for submitting this year’s tax returns, 854,243 IVANs have been declared.
• There remain 75,464 citizens who have reached the age of 65 or have a disability of 67% or more, are entitled to a tax refund and have not declared an IVAN.
