by

Miltos Tedoglou returned to Greece, after the gold medal he won at the European Athletics Championships, and in his statements to the television cameras he promised big things ahead of the Olympic Games in Paris.

Miltos Tedoglou’s statements in detail

For the medal, even if it’s something that cheers him up ahead of the Olympics: “Of course, it makes me happy, I had a very nice race, I set a record, I was happy about it, a great record. When you fight for so many years and your efforts are rewarded, it’s very nice”.

For where he dedicates the medal: “In the whole team, which is competing even just now, Katerina took the silver in the epic. Good luck to all the kids who are competing.”

As to whether he is saving a cent for Paris: “I don’t save them, I usually do my best in big matches. I believe that in Paris I will be even better with more appetite. It’s the Olympic Games and you go for the best”.

On whether he will take the individual record from Chatuma: “It can”.

As to who is next after him, his successor: “There will definitely be a child in Greece in the coming years”.

About which athletes he considers most dangerous in his own event: “I don’t have one name in mind, I have three, the Jamaicans. They are very strong, very fast. In the Olympics because they are held every four years, the final is so unpredictable. Anything can happen, they’re all so hungry, they’re all going to do their best. You never know who’s going to be at their best.”

For how he experienced success in Rome with the Greeks: “Thank you very much to all the Greeks who support me all these years, who watch athletics. I appreciate it and hope they continue to see us. The Olympic Games are coming and we are going for big things”.
