Downward trends prevailed at today’s meeting Stock Exchange, with the market retreating after three bullish sessions amid bearish sentiment in European markets.

O General Price Index closed at 1,449.40 unitsdown 0.63%.

In-session recorded lower price at 1,446.05 units (-0.85%).

The value of the transactions amounted to 99.04 million euros, while 17,440,718 shares were traded.

The large-cap index fell 0.74%, while the mid-cap index fell 0.24%.

Of the high capitalization shares, the biggest increase was recorded by the shares of GEK TERNA (+1.37%), Aegean Airlines (+0.50%), Piraeus (+0.37%) and PPA (+0 .37%).

On the contrary, the largest decline was recorded by the shares of Lamda Development (-2.81%), PPC (-2.58%), Mytileneos (-2.51%) and Viohalco (-2.45%).

The largest volume of transactions was presented by Alpha Bank and Piraeus, trading 3,737,301 and 2,817,128 shares, respectively.

OPAP recorded the highest value of transactions with 17.85 million euros and Ethniki with 12.06 million euros.

48 stocks moved up, 52 down and 19 remained stable.

The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Medical +10.00% and Mermeren +7.62%.

The largest decline was registered by the shares: Xylemporia (p) -13.41% and Tria ‘Alfa (k) -9.30%.
