Greece had the highest wholesale electricity price in Europe on July 20, surpassing Romania and Hungary, while it is more than double that of Central Europe.

Prices are determined by the stock exchange and at this particular moment, the increase in wholesale in Greece is not due to an increase in production costs, as natural gas has not increased. With the legislative regulation that is expected within days, part of the surplus profits of the producers will be recovered through at least two months of taxation of the power generation units that use natural gas.

Pay attention to consumption – Subsidy only for the first 500 kilowatt hours

The August bill subsidy will be given to all residential consumers on floating tariffs.

The exact amount has not been announced, however it is estimated that it will be formed so that the final price her kilowatt hour in the green tariff of PPC not to exceed 15 to 16 minutesup from 13.5 minutes unsubsidized in July.
