Ukrainian: Italian ENI withdraws from gas pipeline connecting Russia with Turkey

The Italian giant hydrocarbon group ENI intends to sell its 50% stake in the Blue Stream gas pipeline, a project in which the Russian giant Gazprom is partially involved due to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the T representative of the company in the French Agency.

“ENI has the intention to sell its stake in Blue Stream, which “connects Russia with Turkey” via the Black Sea, he said. The Italian group thus imitates the example of other major companies in the oil and gas sector, such as the British Shell and BP, which have already announced that they are withdrawing from projects in which they participated in Russia.

At the same time, Shell announced that it has left Russia and is abandoning its joint ventures with Gazprom, including the involvement in the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline. which has been exploited in a joint venture with Russian, Indian and Japanese companies, the Sakhalin-1 project.
