Stock prices are under strong pressure at the opening of today’s session, with the market falling below the 1,450 level. The market is affected by the negative international climate. European stock markets retreated after yesterday’s strong decline in Wall Street indices, as concerns about a possible recession in the US economy resurfaced. The Asian stock markets also closed with heavy losses.

The General Price Index, at 11:00, stands at 1,445.07 units, marking a drop of 1.99%.

The value of the transactions amounts to 11.95 million euros.

The large-cap index is down 2.20%, while the mid-cap index is down 1.55%.

All high-cap stocks are down. The biggest fall was recorded by the shares of Eurobank (-2.92%), Alpha Bank (-2.90%), Piraeus (-2.86%), Autohellas (-2.74%) and Elektor ( -2.44%).

11 stocks move up, 63 down and 10 remain stable.

Attica Bank +2.55% and Xylemporia (p) +2.04% recorded the biggest increase, while Moda Bango -8.92% and Akritas -7.89% recorded the biggest decline.
