RIS: Subsidies for electricity and gas in March

In light enlargement of consumption scales for subsidies in Power consumption and for March the Ministry of Environment and Energyresulting in a corresponding adjustment of the grant amount.

In particular, according to a letter addressed by the Minister of Environment and Energy Costas Skrekas to suppliers, the subsidies that continue in March for the seventh consecutive month, are as follows:

– For household consumers with floating tariffs and for the first house, the subsidy is 150 euros per megawatt hour for the first 155 kilowatt hours of monthly consumption (compared to 150 kwh which was the limit in February) and for consumption from 156 to 310 kwh, (from 300 kwh), the subsidy is 110 euros per megawatt hour. Thus, the total subsidy is set at 40.03 euros.

– For the Social Household Tariff the subsidy remains at 170 euros per megawatt hour for the first 310 kilowatt hours (instead of 300) without the condition of the first residence.

– For professional consumerswith fluctuating electricity supply tariffs, regardless of voltage, the subsidy remains at 65 euros / MWh for the entire monthly consumption.

For natural gas the state subsidy τον March remains at 20 euros per megawatt hour of heat for all consumers (household and non-domestic, except electricity producers).

In the meantime, the price for electricity on the energy exchange is tomorrow at 281.75 euros per megawatt hour, increased by 11% compared to today but at a lower level compared to most European countries as tomorrow’s price is the third lowest (after Poland and Bulgaria).
