Share prices recovered in today’s session of the Stock Exchange, after yesterday’s “sell-off”, although the initial attempt to recover the European markets weakened, with the result that the domestic market also limited its initial gains that exceeded 3%.

From the high capitalization, the shares of OTE, PPC, Mytileneos and Motor Oil outperformed.

The General Price Index closed at 1,367.78 points, marking an increase of 1.98%. Intra-sessionally it recorded a higher price at 1,383.60 units (+3.16%).

The total market capitalization increased by 1.8 billion euros, while yesterday it had decreased by about 6 billion euros.

The value of the transactions amounted to 161.36 million euros, while 38,675,229 shares were traded.

The large-cap index rose 2.24%, while the mid-cap index gained 1.57%.

Of the high capitalization shares, the biggest increase was recorded by the shares of OTE (+5.49%), PPC (+5.35%), Mytileneos (+4.97%), Motor Oil (+4, 31%), Elvalhalcor (+3.59%), Autohalleas (+3.58%) and Piraeus (+3.51%).

On the contrary, only Jumbo’s share fell (-0.43%).

The largest volume of transactions was presented by Alpha Bank and Eurobank, trading 9,543,117 and 8,508,946 shares, respectively.

Piraeus with 26.60 million euros and National with 24.11 million euros recorded the highest transaction value.

93 stocks moved up, 13 fell and 15 remained stable.

The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Unibios +13.03% and Frigoglass +10.00%.

The biggest fall was registered by the shares: Viator -9.38% and Medicon -4.10%.
