Share prices recorded lower trends in today’s session of the Stock Exchange, which were limited towards the close, as in the European markets, after the positive opening of Wall Street in the wake of the announcement of positive data on the US labor market.

The domestic market retreated after a strong bullish reaction in the last two sessions, during which the main stock index had recorded a combined gain of 3.96%, following Monday’s 6.27% decline.

The General Price Index closed at 1,382.46 points, down 0.85%. Intra-sessionally it recorded a lower price at 1,375.27 points (-1.36%).

The value of the transactions amounted to 99.11 million euros, while 19,881,548 shares were traded.

The large-cap index fell 0.88%, while the mid-cap index gained 0.22%.

Of the large capitalization shares, the biggest increase was recorded by the shares of OPAP (+1.23%), Elvalhalcor (+1.14%), GEK TERNA (+0.95%) and Eurobank (+0. 61%).

On the contrary, the largest decline was recorded by the shares of Jumbo (-5.33%), Motor Oil (-3.68%), AIA (-2.09%), Aegean (-1.93%) and Autohellas (-1.91%).

The largest volume of transactions was presented by Alpha Bank and Eurobank

trading 5,761,253 and 3,088,870 shares, respectively.

The highest value of transactions was recorded by National with 16 million euros and Jumbo with 11.58 million euros.

33 stocks moved up, 58 fell and 29 remained stable.

The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Frigoglass +2.91% and Orilina Properties +2.60%.

The biggest drop was recorded by the shares: Tzirakian (k) -5.90% and Nafpaktos Textiles -5.76%.
