Stock prices recorded upward trends in today’s session of the Stock Exchange, with the market moving on an upward trajectory for the fifth session, “erasing” the losses of the sell off on Monday, August 5 (-6.27%).

The General Price Index closed at 1,431.88 points, marking an increase of 0.62%. Intra-sessionally it recorded a higher price at 1,438.67 units (+1.10%).

The main stock market index on a weekly basis registered a rise of 3.51%, while since the beginning of the year it has recorded gains of 10.73%.

The value of the transactions amounted to 109.69 million euros, while 22,618,304 shares were traded.

The large-cap index rose 0.65%, while the mid-cap index gained 0.93%.

Of the high capitalization shares, the biggest increase was recorded by the shares of Ellactor (+3.27%), Ethniki (+2.40%), Titan (+2.39%), OTE (+1.43 %) and Piraeus (+1.32%).

On the contrary, the biggest fall was recorded by the shares of Sarantis (-1.89%), Autohellas (-1.43%) and PPC (-0.95%).

The largest volume of transactions was presented by Eurobank and Piraeus, trading 4,223,771 and 3,917,493 shares, respectively.

The highest value of transactions was recorded by Nthniki with 27.89 million euros and Piraeus with 15.59 million euros.

69 stocks moved up, 27 fell and 22 remained stable.

The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Agrotikos Oikos Spyros +10.00% and Kecrops +8.13%.

The biggest drop was recorded by the shares: Lazaridis Estate -4.44% and Nafpaktos Textiles -3.31%.
