Alpha Bank provides a framework of measures aimed at relieving those affected and at the fastest possible restoration of damages for fire-affected individuals and businesses in Attica that are being tested by the effects of the recent fires.

In particular, the measures include the following:

Following the announcements of the State, the Bank gives the possibility of suspension, until December 31, 2024in the payment of installments of Mortgage, Consumer and Business Loans, as well as minimum monthly Credit Card payments for affected individuals and businesses that fall under government support measures. The measure will be applied exclusively to current debts or debts (in settlement or not) that are up to 90 days late on July 30, 2024.

  • Loans with preferential terms for individuals

In order to immediately restore the damage caused by the fires in their properties, the Bank provides a housing loan with preferential terms, which include the option of choosing a fixed interest rate starting from 2.50% or a floating interest rate with the applicable lowest margin provided by the Bank, combined with a waiver of the request examination fee.

At the same time, to cover the first needs and replace their household goods, the Alpha Metron Ariston Consumer Loan is provided with preferential terms, which include a low fixed interest rate and zero costs for examining the request.

Special facilities for businesses

As a bank for entrepreneurship, Alpha Bank also takes a series of measures specifically for the fire-affected businesses of Attica. Among other things, it provides:

  • Possibility of extending the validity, up to 3 months, of Credit limits expiring by December 31, 2024.

For the loans, which were granted in collaboration with the Hellenic Development Bank (TEPIX, Business Growth fund, etc.) and the European Investment Fund (COSME, EGF, Pan European Guarantee Fund, EASI, INNOVFIN), a newer update will follow instructions of the bodies in question.
