Apple will hold a product launch event next week, the company said on Wednesday. The market expectation is that the company will launch a low-cost version of the iPhone with 5G capabilities, in addition to a new iPad Air and Mac Mini computers.
“Spy on the performance. March 8. See you there,” Apple’s senior vice president of marketing Greg Joswiak said in a tweet. The company did not give further details about the event.
The new iPhone will be the first update to the SE lineup in two years and the expectation is that the device will have a camera with improved features and a faster processor.
Apple usually holds three events a year to launch new products, starting with the spring event, which in the northern hemisphere runs from late March to late June. At the end of the year, the company usually announces new versions of the iPhone just before the Christmas season.
