The turnover of retail trade in the second quarter of 2024 amounted to 18.11 billion euros, up 4.3% in relation to the corresponding period of 2023.
The Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) announced today that for all businesses in the retail sector, the turnover in the second quarter of 2024 amounted to 18.11 billion euros, marking an increase of 4.3% compared to the second quarter of 2023, where it had amounted to 17.37 billion euros and
an increase of 15.4% compared to the first quarter of 2024 which had amounted to 15.69 billion euros.
For businesses in the retail sector, excluding the vehicle, food and fuel sectors, turnover in the second quarter of 2024 amounted to €6.57 billion, an increase of 4.1% compared to the second quarter of 2023, where it was to 6.31 billion euros and an increase of 22.8% compared to the first quarter of 2024 which was formed at 5.35 billion euros.
