The interventions will aim at renovation and at least a 30% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions
Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance, Nikos Papathanasis, announced the issuance of the Call for membership in the NSRF and in particular in the “Environment and Climate Change 2021-27” Program, of the projects of the “DIATIRO Public Sector Program”.
Within the framework of the issued invitation, budget operations of 70,000,000 euros can be included and it concerns renovation and functional reintegration projects of State buildings with great architectural value that have been classified as preserved, but at the same time, have a high carbon footprint.
Interventions will aim at at least a medium-scale renovation and/or at least a 30% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions.
The program concerns interventions in classified public buildings owned, owned and used by Central Government Public Bodies and/or monuments or historical buildings within historical places and traditional settlements.
Interventions will include indicatively:
- cleaning facades to remove atmospheric pollutants and protect against vandalism,
- taking immediate rescue measures for the shell of the buildings to avoid partial or total collapse,
- static strengthening of buildings, replacement of IT, configuration of internal and external areas of buildings,
- restoration of the interior of buildings,
- integration of new uses to highlight, on the one hand, the social, historical and cultural character of the buildings themselves and the cultural capital of their owners, and, on the other hand, increasing the contribution to the national cultural capital, democracy, education, research, etc. .etc.,
- energy upgrade of buildings, in accordance with the Regulation on Energy Performance of Buildings – KENAK.
