One of the biggest “deals” in the field of private health enters the final phase. According to information from APE-MBE, the company IMITHEA M.A.E., owner of the “Erricos Dunan” hospital, signed a binding agreement (SPA) with Farallon for the acquisition of the Euromedica clinic network.

In particular, the binding agreement provides for the acquisition by “Errikos Dunan” of five General and Obstetric Clinics in Thessaloniki, Rhodes and Kozani, a Rehabilitation Center in Thessaloniki, as well as Supply, IT and Property Management companies.

With the completion of the acquisition, one of the largest private health groups in Greece is created, with a wide geographical coverage of the Greek territory, which will also be a training center for doctors and nurses, having already concluded relevant cooperation agreements with the corresponding schools of reputable universities abroad. On the part of “Errikos Dunan” it has been pointed out that the ambition of the new group is to become a point of reference in Greece and not only for healthcare services, investing in high technology, in maintaining the distinguished quality of medical and nursing services and in the constant upgrading of the level staff experience and training.

The group will employ more than 2,500 workers, having more than 1,400 secondary care beds throughout Greece, having the ability to treat more than 120,000 cases per year and serve more than 750,000 outpatient cases in its network of clinics.

The completion of the transaction is subject to the approval of the competent Competition Authority and the receipt of the approvals provided for by law.
