The strong reaction of the Coordinating Body of Primary Health Care was caused by “sudden announcement by EOPYY for the collection of the 2021 clawback in 120 installments and the months of September, October and November 2023 in 9 installments, which means that more than 50% of the monthly submission will be withheld by EOPYY and in combination with the withholding tax will reach up to 70%».

The PFI organizations ask the Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance Thanos Petralias to withdraw this decision and leave open the possibility of mobilizations.

“Mr. Petralia, consider your responsibilities. Your clawback withholding actions are destroying us“, state the PFI agencies and request a meeting with the prime minister.

Besides, ISA states that “this decision leads to financial suffocation for Primary Health Care providers who face a serious problem of survival, due to the unfair claw back measure” and calls on the Deputy Minister of National Economy to withdraw his “surprise” decision while requesting an increase in funding for diagnostic tests in primary health care.

The ISA emphasizes once again that the clawback must be abolished because it is an unfair measure that threatens the viability of PFI providers.
