Share prices recorded significant gains in today’s Stock Exchange session, with the market exceeding the levels of 1,440 units.

At the center of interest were the shares of Ethniki, Eurobank, PPC, and Bank of Cyprus, whose shares returned to the AX market today, after seven years.

The starting price was 4.78 euros and closed at 5 euros with a profit of 4.60%.

A total of 443,457,297 Cyprus shares were traded, with the bank’s capitalization exceeding 2 billion euros.

The General Price Index closed at 1,442.53 points, marking an increase of 1.22%.

The value of the transactions amounted to 129.51 million euros, of which 26 million euros related to transactions in packages, while 39,573,246 shares were traded.

The large-cap index rose 1.55%, while the mid-cap index gained 0.15%.

Of the high capitalization shares, the biggest increase was recorded by the shares of Ethniki (+4.46%), Eurobank (+2.92%), PPC (+2.82%), Jumbo (+2.71 %) and Mytilene (+2.46%).

On the contrary, the largest decline was recorded by the shares of Titan (-0.76%), Aegean (-0.56%) and EYDAP (-0.52%).

Intralot and Eurobank presented the largest volume of transactions, trading 14,887,519 and 6,802,049 shares, respectively.

The highest transaction value was recorded by Piraeus with 19.84 million euros and National with 18.37 million euros.

61 stocks moved up, 36 down and 27 remained stable.

The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Frigoglass +9.88% and ‘Avax +8.64%.

The biggest drop was registered by the shares: Minerva -8.85% and Leventeris(k) -7.91%.
