At the same time, aims to establish the city of Trikala as a pioneer in the implementation of innovation and technological entrepreneurship.

The Minister of Digital Governance Dimitris Papastergiou stated: “The municipalities of the country are evolving, moving to the next digital day with resources of 230 million euros from the “Digital Transformation” Program of the NSRF 2021-2027 and 90 million euros from the Recovery Fund. Trikala joined the program of the Recovery Fund for Smart Cities together with the largest cities of Greece as a model Municipality. This is a practical reward for what we have achieved as a city and at the same time a new bet. To utilize the resources and technological tools to make Trikala an even friendlier, more sustainable, more accessible, more “intelligent” city. After all, the concept of a “smart” city revolves around the citizen. Technology is evolving dynamically and offers us digital solutions every day, which help us organize the cities of the future.”

The Mayor of Trikkaia, Nikos Sakkasstated: “We signed the contract with the association of contractor companies which shows that we are on a very good path and we are continuing the path that the previous Mayor and current Minister of Digital Governance, Dimitris Papastergiou, had drawn. For our city, the profits and benefits are many. We will continue the path of innovation and digital development and we hope that in a short period of time this project will be implemented.”

The CEO of Nova ICT, Alexander Bregiannisstated: “Nova ICT accelerates the creation of ‘smart’ cities to address modern urban problems. With the project we are starting in collaboration with the Municipality of Trikkaia, we want to increase the interaction between the citizens, the structures and the authorities of the city. The “smart city” can find creative solutions to the urban challenges it faces and above all make the most of the resources it has, in order to improve the everyday life of citizens”.

The CEO of Dotsoft, Tasos Manosstated: “For Dotsoft, today is a very important day, as it undertakes the implementation of an emblematic and complex project in the Municipality of Trikkaia, further strengthening its presence in the market of applications for smart cities”
