Two -day official visit to Mount Athos will be held today and tomorrow the Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

His visit will start at 11:00 am from Karyes, the administrative center of Mount Athos, where he will convene a festive Extraordinary Double Sacred Synod, which is an institution during the visits of the leaders of the Greek state.

The Prime Minister will be welcomed and accompanied by the “Axion Esti” Church of Axion, Saint Abraham.

According to the Protocol, in the courtyard of the Church of Protatos will be welcomed by the priests and delegations of the 20 Holy Monasteries and the Holy Mountains of Mount Athos (festive Extraordinary Double Sacred Synod).

Next, there will be a doxology, and at the end of the end of the Saint first and the prime minister.

Then at the Hierarchical Palace, Kyriakos Mitsotakis will be lunch with the members of the Double Sacred Synod and will then visit the museum located in the building.
