Fall that exceeds 25 minutes per liter in simple unleaded petrol etcand the 30 minutes in diesel, the price of fuel has been recorded in the last 12 months nationwide, easing household budgets.

According to the official figures of the liquid fuel observatorythe average price of consumer gasoline, 95 octane, fell yesterday, September 30, to 1.751 euros per liter.

In the most populous region of the country, Attica, it was even lower was formed at 1,714 euros while in many gas stations of Lekanopedi the prices have fallen below 1.65 euros.

On the corresponding date last year the same product Mrit cost an average of 2,014 euros in the territory.

Indicative of a “filling” of the tank with 30 liters of unleaded the cost for the Attica driver now is around 50 euros when last year they required an expenditure of more than 60 euros.

An even greater drop is observed in diesel, which dropped to 1.524 euros per liter yesterday, compared to 1.853 euros a year ago, a drop of more than 30 cents per liter.

In practice, this means that spending on gasoline is moving toward pre-energy crisis levels. Even high-performance unleaded, i.e. 100 octane, is now sold for less than 2 euros, with the national average yesterday at 1,974 euros.

The de-escalation of prices started to become visible in the summer months, despite the fact that traditionally increased demand on the islands, due to tourism, pushes costs up.

It is indicative that on May 31 a liter of 95% unleaded cost an average of 1.907 euros, on June 30 the price had fallen to 1.897 euros and on July 31 it had decreased to 1.882 euros. The retreat accelerated in Augustwith the result that on August 30 it is estimated at 1,811 euros, with the strong downward trend continuing in September.
