Share prices recorded a strong recovery in today’s session of the Stock Exchange, after five bearish sessions during which the main stock market index had recorded losses of 3.59%.

The General Price Index closed at 1,437.88 points, marking an increase of 1.37%.

On a weekly basis, the main stock market index recorded a 2.10% drop, while since the beginning of the year it has recorded gains of 11.91%.

The value of the transactions amounted to 164.79 million euros, while 34,428,938 shares were traded.

The large-cap index gained 1.55%, while the mid-cap index gained 0.61%.

Of the high capitalization shares, the biggest increase was recorded by the shares of Jumbo (+3.98%), Lamda Development (+3.09%), Titan (+2.50%), Ethniki (+2, 49%), Piraeus (+2.31%) and OPAP (+2.23%).

On the contrary, the biggest fall was recorded by the shares of Autohellas (-1.28%), AIA (-0.85%), Aegean Airlines (-0.38%) and PPA (-0.36%).

The largest volume of transactions was presented by National Bank and Alpha Bank, trading 10,790,159 and 7,695,788 shares, respectively.

The highest value of transactions was recorded by Nthniki with 82.52 million euros and Piraeus with 13.43 million euros.

64 stocks moved up, 38 fell and 19 remained stable.

The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Frigoglass +9.24% and Jumbo +3.98%.

The biggest drop was registered by the shares: Attica Bank -23.41% and Foodlink -7.71%.
