Stock prices fell in today’s Stock Exchange session, with the market falling below 1,420 points, while banking stocks were at the center of liquidations.

The market was supported by the shares of Jumbo, Viohalco, Coca Cola and GEK TERNA.

The General Price Index closed at 1,419.27 points, down 0.56%.

Intra-sessionally it recorded a higher price at 1,430.77 points (+0.24%) and a lower price at 1,418.38 points (-0.62%).

The value of transactions amounted to 207.22 million euros, of which 87.3 million euros related to transactions in packages, while 42,892,369 shares were traded.

They passed two packages of 13.5 million Bank of Cyprus shares (about 3% of the share capital) worth 56.7 million euros.

The large-cap index fell 0.19%, while the mid-cap index fell 0.07%.

Of the large capitalization stocks, the biggest increase was recorded by the shares of Jumbo (+2.10%), Viohalco (+1.80%), GEK TERNA (+1.73%) and Coca Cola HBC (+1 .12%).

On the contrary, the biggest fall was recorded by the shares of Autohellas (-2.99%), National National (-1.95%), Motor Oil (-1.89%) and Alpha Bank (-1.23%).

Cyprus and Ethniki presented the largest volume of transactions, trading 15,842,165 and 6,820,740 shares, respectively.

The highest value of transactions was recorded by Cyprus with 67.11 million euros and the National team with 51.13 million euros.

38 stocks moved up, 50 fell and 29 remained stable.

The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Alpha Astika Akinita +5.43% and Foodlink +5.16%.

The biggest fall was recorded by the shares: Kyprous -10.52% and Attica Bank -7.87%.
