At the lowest level since 2022, the starting price of heating oil is expected today, October 15, according to the latest market estimates.

The average price in Attica expected to be formed at 1.15-1.17 euros per liter with upward scaling in the periphery and islands due to transportation.

Last year – according to the data of the Price Observatory of the Ministry of Development – the nationwide average price of heating oil at the beginning of the period was 1.425 euros per liter (in Attica 1.4 euros) and in 2022 it was respectively 1.409 euros nationwide and in Attica at 1,379 euros.

Market sources said consumption figures for April, at the end of the heating season, show that the majority of consumers have not stockpiled oil for next winter. They estimate that despite the fact that the weather still does not force the oil market, those who believe that there is a risk of an increase in international prices will rush to order.
