State deputy Arthur do Val provoked the tax auditors this Monday (7th) when he stated, in an interview with Folha, that he alone stopped the increase for the category in São Paulo.
Sinafresp, which represents about 6,000 tax auditors in the state, released a statement repudiating what it called the infamous attacks.
For the organization, the deputy’s speech is a way to “escape responsibility for his disgusting statements about Ukrainian women, which have earned him national and international public execration”.
The union says that the deputy, known as Mamãe Falei, has no moral superiority. “The deputy boasts of having barred a legitimate claim to readjust the category in Alesp, as if such a position would earn him any vote of moral superiority or alignment with the public interest”, says Sinafresp in the note.
“The tax auditors of the state of São Paulo, unlike the deputy, play a relevant public role, and have a central role in the collection of resources that are used in public policies in the state of São Paulo, whether through the collection of taxes, in the fight against tax evasion and ensuring the proper functioning of the state’s tax system.”
The entity says that it joins the chorus of public opinion and all the entities that ask for the removal of the deputy. “Taxpayers deserve that their taxes are spent on politicians who work for the common good and not on a troublemaker who doesn’t have the composure to occupy a position of representation”, concludes the Sinafresp note.
