A deficit of 173.5 million euros against our country was recorded in August this year in the trade balance with Russia, according to ELSTAT.

In particular, the value of Greece’s imports from Russia amounted to 180.2 million euros, marking a decrease of 19.4% compared to August 2023 which was 223.5 million euros. Meanwhile, the value of Greece’s exports to Russia amounted to 6.7 million euros, marking a decrease of 10.4% compared to August 2023 which was 7.5 million euros.

Negative trade balance between Greece and Russia in the 8th month

In the 8th month, the value of imports of Greece from Russia amounted to 1,019.6 million euros, noting reduction 47% compared to the period January-August 2023 which was 1,922.7 million euros.

The value of exports of Greece to Russia amounted to 58.7 million euros, noting reduction 12% compared to the period January-August 2023 which was 66.7 million euros.

The trade balance between Greece and Russia was negative and amounted to 960.9 million euros (deficit).

Also according to ELSTAT, the August the value of imports of Greece from Ukraine amounted to 29.9 million euros, noting 23.7% increase compared to August 2023 which was 24.2 million euros.

The value of Greece’s exports to Ukraine amounted to 116.2 million euros, marking an increase of 48.8% compared to August 2023 which was 78.1 million euros.

The trade balance between Greece and Ukraine was positive and amounted to 86.2 million euros (surplus).

The value of exports of Greece to Ukraine amounted to 902.3 million euros, noting 98.1% increase in relation to the period January-August 2023 which was 455.5 million euros.

The commercial balance Greece-Ukraine was positive and amounted to 651.4 million euros (surplus).
