Former Abercrombie & Fitch CEO Mike Jeffries has been arrested on charges of human trafficking and interstate prostitution, New York prosecutors announced.

Jeffries, his partner Matt Smith and a third man, Jim Jacobson, were arrested Tuesday as part of a sex-trafficking investigation by the FBI and federal prosecutors in Brooklyn, ABC News reported.

The investigation related to allegations of sexual exploitation and abuse of young men at parties they organized in the United States and around the world, the sources told the American network.

Jeffries was the CEO of the popular clothing brand from 1992 to 2014.

News of his arrest comes a year after BBC News published a report alleging that Jeffries was abusing men at sex parties. The British network in its report presented the testimonies of 12 men who said they attended or organized events that included sexual acts for Jeffries and his partner Matthew Smith, and these events took place from 2009 to 2015. Some of the men who spoke to the BBC said they were taken advantage of or did not participate voluntarily.
