Stock prices closed at lower levels in today’s session, as the initial attempt at an upward reaction did not bear fruit.

The market fell for a third session, during which the main stock index recorded total losses of 2.52%.

The General Price Index closed at 1,407.14 points, down 0.53%. Intra-sessionally it recorded a higher price at 1,419.95 units (+0.37%) and a lower price at 1,405.39 units (-0.65%).

The value of the transactions amounted to 119.73 million euros, while 31,381,344 shares were traded.

The large-cap index fell 0.77%, while the mid-cap index fell 0.27%.

Of the high capitalization stocks, the biggest increase was recorded by the shares of Coca Cola HBC (+0.42%) and Aegean Airlines (+0.39%).

On the contrary, the biggest fall was recorded by the shares of Eurobank (-3.05%), Titan (-1.97%), Alpha Bank (-1.91%) and Viohalco (-1.08%).

Eurobank and Alpha Bank presented the largest volume of transactions, trading 11,195,412 and 9,126,636 shares, respectively.

The highest transaction value was recorded by Eurobank with 21.29 million euros and Terna Energy with 17.73 million euros.

30 stocks advanced, 71 declined and 20 remained stable.

The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Leventeris(p) +14.62% and Minerva +7.14%.

The biggest drop was registered by the shares: Attica Bank -10.45% and ELBE -9.01%.
