Air France airline will have only Embraer jets in its fleet

by

Air France’s regional subsidiary HOP! has confirmed that it will retire its fourteen Bombardier CRJ 1000s throughout 2022, with the model’s last operation in December. The entire fleet of the model was acquired by the company Jetcraft, specialized in the negotiation of aircraft and parts.

With this decision, the HOP! will be made up entirely of Embraer aircraft, with 15 E170 jets and 19 E190 jets, for Air France’s domestic and regional routes.

The CRJ 1000, with a capacity for one hundred seats, was inherited after the merger of several regional branches of the French national airline into HOP!. They had the same functions as the Embraer, but to reduce costs it was decided to simplify their fleet in a single manufacturer.

The aircraft will be delivered to Jetcraft between March and December 2022.

“This is a significant acquisition for Jetcraft Commercial and I am proud that three of these aircraft are ready to enter service with other customers. There is great demand for the remaining aircraft, emphasizing the need for regional aircraft,” commented Raphaël Haddad, President of Jetcraft Commercial.

Currently, in addition to HOP!, Air Nostrum is the largest operator of the CRJ-1000 model with 24 aircraft.
