What is Thessaly Evros Pass
The “Thessaly Evros Pass” aims to support the domestic tourism of the areas of Thessaly affected by flood phenomena in September 2023 and the areas of Evros, affected by fires in the summer of 2023.
The program, with a total budget of 4.45 million euros, concerns intangible digital debit cards, which the beneficiaries will be able to use until the last day of the selected phase, for accommodation, catering and local transport costs in the above affected areas. Beneficiaries were selected following a lottery conducted by the implementing body after the application deadline and the results were posted on the program’s website.
The program is divided as follows:
· “Thessaly A Pass” which concerns the Municipalities of South Pelion and Zagora Mouresi, and the Municipal Units of Agria, Portaria, Artemis and Makrynitsis of the Municipality of Volos
· “Thessaly B Pass” which concerns the Municipalities of Limni Plastira, Agia, Tempo, Pyli (except the Municipal Units of Gomfon and Pialia) and Meteora
· “Evros Pass” which concerns the Municipality of Soufli and the Municipal Transport Unit of the Municipality of Alexandroupoli
The “Thessaly Evros Pass” is implemented by the National Network of Technology and Research Infrastructures (EDYTE S.A. – GRNET), a body of the Ministry of Digital Governance, and is financed by the Public Investment Program.
